Only select users from the above accounts with permission to export will be able to use this feature.
These are the qualified user types that can export:
- Owner / Parent
- Manager
- Administrator
- Full user with export permissions enabled
- Editor with export permissions enabled
How to export contacts and their field data to a CSV file
- Open the Audience section in your account, then click on either Groups or Segments to export specific contacts in your audience.
- If you are choosing to export a Group, you’ll need to first select the group, then click the down arrow to the right of the row and select the Export option. You can export any audience group’s contacts to an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file.
If you are choosing to export a Segment, you’ll need to first select the segment, then click the down arrow to the right of the row and select the Export option. - On the popup that appears, make your selections of the contacts that should be exported, choose from Active, Error, Opt-out or all of the above, then click Export.
- You will then see a notification telling you that your export is in process.
- Click the hyperlink in the popup to jump to your exports and you will find your most current export along with other recent exports.
- Click the down arrow to the right of the export name, and select Download this export. Your file will download as a CSV to your computer’s desktop or downloads folder, be sure to save it.
Helpful tip
To access your exports again at a later time, simply click the tools icon at the top-right of your account, and choose Exports.
