Mobile design mode allows you to switch the view of the drag and drop editor while you are creating or editing a campaign to not only see how it will look on mobile but to continue to build or edit the campaign while in the mobile view.
With the number of people who use their phones to access email content continuously on the rise, knowing how your campaigns will look on mobile is an essential element to your marketing success.
Where to find the mobile design mode
Every template in your account is mobile optimized and it only takes the click of your mouse to see exactly how your campaigns will look on mobile devices or vice versa, which makes switching between desktop and mobile views a breeze.
Anytime you are in an open campaign, just look for the two icons in the upper left corner of the page. These icons function as a toggle that allows you to switch between a desktop and mobile view.
Simply click on the smaller phone icon to switch to mobile view and you will see that the editor content area will reduce to 320px against a grey backdrop. However, the grey backdrop is not part of your message design, it is just the look of the mobile design mode.
When you have the mobile view enabled, you can continue to design or edit your campaign using all of the same options in the drag and drop editor.
Using the hide on mobile or desktop options
While building your campaign, if you have previously selected to hide any row or content properties on mobile or desktop, then you will also see a third icon in the upper left corner of the page. This additional eye icon represents the element’s visibility and can be used to turn off or on any content that appears to be translucent.
Additionally, whenever you make any changes while in the drag and drop editor, you’ll see three icon options load in the bottom left corner where you can select to Undo or Redo your last command as well as check your revision History and easily revert back to saved instances.
