In tiered accounts, the account Parent and Managers have access to the parent account, or “top-level” account. The parent account is home to several tools that aren’t found in standalone accounts or subaccounts.
Essentials accounts have an account Parent but do not include a Manager role.
Dashboard
Upon logging in, your account will open to the Dashboard, which gives you a quick overview of your subaccount activity. You’ll find an at-a-glance look of your account activity over the last 30 days that shows you different stats about your Mailing engagement and Audience growth, as well as the Top mailing for the time period. For more information about the different parts of the Dashboard, please refer to this article. For more information about the marketing calendar, please refer to this article.
To navigate to a subaccount, click on your account name and choose from the dropdown list or use the search bar to locate a specific account.
Subaccounts
In the Subaccounts section, you can view a list of your subaccount names, their current status, and their creation date. There are also five tabs where you can perform specific actions, as described below.
Subaccounts
The first tab in the Subaccounts section is also called Subaccounts. This is where you can view a list of your subaccount names, their current status, and their creation date. You can also click on the Create a new subaccount button to create a new subaccount.
Additionally, you can click on the dropdown arrow that corresponds to a subaccount and choose to View, Edit, or Retire that subaccount. If the subaccount is currently in the Trial status, you will also see the option to Activate it. For more information about creating, editing, and retiring subaccounts, please refer to this article.
Once a subaccount has been retired, you cannot reactivate it through the user interface. If you retired a subaccount by mistake, please reach out to your internal marketing point of contact. If the subaccount has been retired for 30 days or more, its data has been purged from our system and cannot be recovered.
Subaccount categories
The second tab in the Subaccounts section is the Subaccount categories tab. Here, you can create categories for your subaccounts, which you can use to filter your subaccounts in the main Subaccounts grid. For more information, please refer to this article.
Subaccount categories are only available to Teams and Corporate accounts.
Bulk uploads
The third tab in the Subaccounts section is the Bulk uploads tab. Here, you can create multiple new subaccounts at once by following these instructions.
Subaccount defaults
The fourth tab in the Subaccounts section is the Subaccount defaults tab. Here, you can define the default settings and features for newly created subaccounts. You can choose whether new subaccounts should be created in the Trial status or the Active status, as well as which features they should have access to.
Deliverability
The final tab in the Subaccounts section is the Deliverability tab. Here, you can view the DKIM status for all of your subaccounts. The table in this tab contains five columns: Subaccount name, DKIM, Sender email, Send status, and Edit.
The DKIM column lists the domain that the corresponding subaccount currently has DKIM set up for. If the subaccount does not have DKIM set up, this column will be blank. The Sender email column lists the default sender email used by the corresponding subaccount. The Send status column displays a pill icon that says Good if DKIM is set up and the domain matches that of the sender email for that subaccount or Issue if DKIM is not set up or the DKIM domain does not match that of the suabccount’s sender email.
To edit a subaccount’s deliverability information, click on the corresponding pencil icon in the Edit column. For more information about DKIM and authentication requirements, please refer to this article.
Users
In the Users section, you can view, modify, and delete your existing users, as well as send password reset emails and invite new users. For more information about managing users, please refer to the article below that corresponds to your account type:
Brand Manager
The Brand Manager section is home to the Style Guide, Templates tab, Campaigns tab, Images tab, and Documents tab. These tabs allow you to create, manage, and share assets with your subaccounts. For more information about the tools found in the Brand Manager, please refer to this article.
Some features of the Brand Manager are not available to all account types.
Insights
The Insights tab provides a central view of your audience and engagement metrics over a custom timeframe. Opens, clicks, sign-ups, and opt-outs can be viewed as either aggregate or trending metrics. As your account accumulates data, Insights will provide up to 24 months worth of data so that you can perform year-to-year comparisons.
Subaccount dropdown
The account dropdown allows you to navigate between the parent account and your subaccounts. To switch to a subaccount, simply click on the dropdown menu, scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the desired subaccount, and click on the subaccount name.
Parent account menu (house icon)
The house icon appears when the account Parent or a Manager is working in a subaccount, instead of the parent account. The purpose of this icon is to make it easier to access parent account tools when working in a subaccount. When a user clicks on the house icon, it opens a dropdown menu with options for all of the parent account tools: Dashboard, Subaccounts, Users, Brand Manager, and Insights.
