Using the Divider and Spacer Blocks

This article explains how to add and customize the divider block and spacer block.

In the drag and drop editor, there are two types of spacing blocks, the divider block and the spacer block. These two blocks function similarly, but allow you to easily create customizable space between elements in your email design. This helps in creating clear visual separation, improving readability, and enhancing the overall layout without the need for complex coding.

In the legacy* editor, there is only one type of spacing block, the divider block.

Adding a Divider or Spacer to a Drag and Drop Campaign

  1. Navigate to your Campaigns tab.
  2. Open a saved drag and drop draft or click on the Create new campaign button to create a new campaign from scratch.
  3. Click on the Divider or Spacer block in the right panel and drag it to the desired location in your mailing.
  4. Click on the block to open the Content Properties panel.

Tip: If you are working in a divider block, the Content Properties panel will show “Divider Properties” at the top. Likewise, when you are working in a spacer block, it will show “Spacer Properties”.

* In April 2022, our legacy editor was replaced with a new drag and drop editor. Accounts that existed prior to this change still have access to the legacy editor through their previously saved templates and campaigns, however new, from-scratch campaigns can only be created in the new drag and drop editor. Accounts that were created after this change only have access to the new drag and drop editor. Please refer to our new editor FAQ article for more information.
