Template folders overview
With the new folders for templates tool, the account Parent can now use folders to organize and manage their templates. This feature allows the account Parent and Managers with permission to manage assets to take the following actions:
- Create a folder
- See all existing folders in the left panel
- Rename a folder
- Delete a folder
- Move one or more templates to a folder
- Move one or more templates from one folder to another
- Remove a template from a folder
Each template can only belong to one folder. Additionally, when using the search bar in the Templates tab, only the current folder will return results. In order to return results from all folders, you’ll need to be in the All templates section.
How to create a folder
To create a new folder, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Brand Manager tab.
- Click on the Templates section.
- Click on the Create new button and select Folder from the dropdown menu.
- In the pop-up window that appears, enter a name for the folder.
- Click on the Save button.
Folder navigation panel
Once you have created at least one folder, all of your folders will be visible in the panel on the left. To open a certain folder, simply click on that folder’s name.
When a folder is open, you will see a list of all templates within that folder. You can use the search bar to look for specific templates within the folder or the Create new button to create a new template in that folder. The Create new button also gives you the option to create a new folder, but it’s important to note that the folder you create will be a regular folder, not a sub-folder within the current folder.
If you open a folder that has no templates in it, you’ll see a Back to templates button that will return you to the All templates section.
How to rename a folder
To rename a folder, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Brand Manager tab.
- Click on the Templates section.
- Click on the dropdown arrow next to the desired folder.
- Select Rename from the dropdown menu.

- Navigate to your Brand Manager tab.
- Click on the Templates section.
- Click on the dropdown arrow next to the desired folder.
- Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
- In the pop-up window that appears, click on the Delete button.

How to share a folder
To share a folder, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Brand Manager tab.
- Click on the Templates section.
- Click on the dropdown arrow next to the desired folder.
- Select Share from the dropdown menu.
- Check the box next to each subaccount that you’d like to share the folder with. You can also check the box at the top of the table to select all subaccounts or check the Share with all existing and future subaccounts box.
- Click on the Save & share button.
When subaccount users create a new campaign, they can find shared template folders in their template gallery under the Shared with me heading. To view the templates in the folder, they just need to click on the folder name in the panel on the left.
Templates that are shared through folders are not stored in the destination subaccounts. As a result, if the account Parent or a Manager removes a template from a folder, then that template is effectively “unshared” from the subaccounts that could previously see it.
Template folder sharing is only available to Teams and Corporate accounts.

Additional template organization tips
Pagination
Templates are now paginated! Previously, all templates would be listed on a single page and users would have to scroll through them. Now, however, they are divided across multiple pages. If you don’t have many templates, you may not notice a difference, but if your account has a significant number of templates, you should start seeing shorter load times.
Sorting
You can now click on the column headings in the Templates tab to sort your templates.
