Ⓘ Available to HQ, Essentials, Teams, and Corporate accounts
Whether you’re a marketing team of one or many, chances are you probably depend on a calendar. That’s why we’ve added a marketing calendar to tiered accounts that’s specifically for the account Parent and Managers. It gives you increased visibility into the email schedule of all your subaccounts, making it easier for your team to work together.
This article is specifically for the marketing calendar found in the parent account of tiered accounts. For more information about the marketing calendar for standalone accounts and subaccounts, please refer to this article.
Marketing calendar overview
The marketing calendar is located in the Dashboard tab underneath the subaccount performance activity tiles. To access it while in the parent account, simply click on the Dashboard tab and scroll down. To access it while in a subaccount, click on the house icon in the upper right corner of your screen and select Dashboard from the dropdown. You can use the marketing calendar to:
- Easily see which campaigns have been sent over the current month
- See the campaigns that are scheduled by date, or are needing approval
- Quickly access the response results for any sent campaigns
- Approve, reschedule, or cancel any upcoming campaigns
How to sort campaigns
The marketing calendar offers two sorting options, depending on what you’d like to see. If you want to narrow the calendar to only show mailings from specific subaccounts, you can do so by clicking on the All subaccounts dropdown and selecting the desired subaccounts. The calendar will reflect sent, scheduled, and pending approval mailings for those subs.
If you want to view only specific mailing types, you can do so by clicking on the All statuses dropdown and choosing the status. The calendar will display mailings that match that status from all subaccounts.
Interacting with campaigns on the marketing calendar
To view any of the campaigns that have been sent or scheduled, click on the campaign information on the calendar. You’ll see an icon that indicates the mailing type, the name of the mailing, and the subaccount assigned to it. Then you can click on the individual mailing to open a tooltip that includes the sent or scheduled time and a link to either Review mailing or View response.
If there are several mailings for the same calendar date, you can click on the +[#] more link, which opens a modal that will display the other mailings. In the modal, the mailings will be sorted by send time. It will display five mailings at a time and you can use the arrows to page through all mailings.
How to approve, deny, or edit a mailing
When you click on a mailing that’s pending approval or scheduled, you’ll see a Review mailing link. Click on this link to open a modal where you can edit the mailing itself, the mailing audience, the subject line, the sender name and email address, the reply-to address, and the scheduled date and time. If the mailing needs to be approved or denied, you can make any changes you need and then select your approval decision.
For more information about the approvals process, please refer to this article.
How to cancel a mailing
To cancel a scheduled mailing, select Review mailing from the date on the calendar and click on the Cancel mailing option on the next page.
Frequently asked questions about the marketing calendar
Why are prior months showing as blank when I navigate to them?
At this time, the marketing calendar populates a rolling 30 days of sent mailing data, to match what is being shown in the mailing list view. Pending approval mailings that were scheduled in the past will appear, but sent mailings will not. You can navigate out to future months depending on when scheduled and pending approval mailings have been scheduled.
Why don’t I see mailings from a specific subaccount?
The marketing calendar will display mailings for all subaccounts that the specific user has access to. If you cannot log in to that subaccount, you will not see their mailings reflected in the calendar.
